Porcelain Veneers

If you want to transform your entire smile with one, minimally invasive procedure, porcelain veneers may be your best option. For those patients who have years of chips, wear, and staining, veneers offer a simple solution. The procedure is completed over two appointments. During the initial visit, we remove a small amount of surface enamel. This allows the veneer to blend seamlessly into the smile line. Dr. Livshin will then capture impressions of your prepared teeth. These bite impressions are sent to our trusted dental lab where your custom porcelain veneers are made. Then, a temporary veneer is placed to protect your teeth. When we receive the final restoration, you’ll return for your second appointment, so we can exchange your temporary for a custom porcelain veneer.

Metal-Free Restorations

While dental crowns are typically considered a restorative treatment, they can also be used for purely cosmetic improvements. We repair damaged teeth using restorations crafted from a number of materials. Most often, we use gold, porcelain bonded to metal, or all-ceramic restorations. Metal-free, all-ceramic restorations look completely natural and can be used to reshape damaged teeth or conceal cosmetic flaws to perfect your smile. Additionally, all-ceramic restorations are the only treatment options that are recommended for patients who have allergies or sensitivities to metal. If we determine placing a ceramic crown is the best way to perfect your smile, you should plan to visit our office two times. At your first visit, we’ll prepare your tooth, capture bite impressions, and place a temporary. You’ll then return to exchange your temporary for a custom crown, once we receive the final restoration from our dental lab.

Direct Bonding

If you’d like to correct or conceal a number of chips, cracks, stains, and gaps in your smile all in one visit, direct bonding may be the best option. For those patients who want to treat a small area of their smile, bonding may offer a valid alternative to porcelain veneers. This quick, cost effective procedure utilizes the composite resin used for tooth-colored fillings procedures to correct or conceal purely cosmetic flaws. We apply the putty-like resin directly to the tooth and shape it into position covering or repairing cosmetic flaws. Once in place, we’ll use a curing light to harden the resin into position, leaving you with a flawless smile.

Teeth Whitening

Many patients who come to our office for teeth whitening treatments have already tried store bought solutions with little to no success. These patients often have doubts that professional teeth whitening will be any more effective than the other products they’ve tried. However, our customized in-practice and at-home teeth whitening treatments are specifically geared toward your unique teeth whitening needs and goals. Patients who want to brighten their smiles quickly will likely prefer in-office teeth whitening. In about an hour, we’re able to deliver teeth that are up to ten shades brighter. For those patients who want to brighten their teeth more gradually or who experience dental sensitivity, a professional take home teeth whitening kit may be a better solution. Over the course of about two weeks of daily application, you can achieve the same results as in-office whitening. Our take home teeth whitening solutions include a custom application tray and professional level doses of whitening gel that provide much more predictable results compared with store bought whiteners.

Crown Lengthening

Prior to placing a dental crown, we may need to remove a small amount of gum tissue in order to expose enough dental structure to support this restoration. In order to maintain the evenness of your gum line, we don’t just remove tissue from around a single tooth. Instead, we remove a small amount from surrounding teeth in order to allow the “lengthened” tooth to blend seamlessly into the smile line. This procedure is known as crown lengthening. We can also perform this treatment for purely cosmetic reasons for patients who feel their smile is “gummy” or that their gum line is uneven.
