If you’re afraid of the dentist, but intrigued by our practice,
you may have many questions about us. Don’t worry. We get them
all the time. In fact, we’ve posted our most commonly asked questions
and their answers below. If you don’t see the information you need,
we are more than happy to help you when you call our office at 781-688-0248.
Dr. Livshin is extensively trained, but because dentistry
is constantly changing, he does a number of things to stay up to date
on all of the current findings. He and his team frequently attend continuing
education courses that focus on the latest in sedation and restorative
dentistry. He also belongs to a variety of organizations which offer
seminars and conferences on changes in dentistry. He also follows the
latest research and technology.
Yes. Landmark Dental has a digital
imaging system. We can take pictures of your teeth with our digital and
intra-oral camera and use our imaging system to show you how a particular
treatment would enhance the appearance of your teeth. If you have questions
about our digital imaging system, we are always happy to demonstrate
how it works.
We schedule your next visit after your appointment and we will usually call you a few
days before the date to remind you. The amount of time between visits
usually depends on the type of treatment you need. When you are in good
dental health, we would like to see you every six months.
Absolutely. We are always ready to help anyone who is nervous
about visiting the dentist.

When it comes to insurance, Landmark Dental has a dedicated professional
who can help you. We work with most insurance companies and can file
claims for you.
We hope that you seek the quality care you need when you really require
it – not when your insurance company dictates it. That’s
why our office accepts cash, check, and credit cards such as Master Card
or Visa. We request payment at the time of treatment. Any amount not
covered by your insurance is your responsibility. If you need extensive
or complex treatments, we can provide estimates for you ahead of time.
For extensive or long term dental care, our office can provide assistance
through Care Credit, which offers monthly financing with competitive
interest rates. If you have any questions, we can answer them before
your visit if you call us at 781-688-0248.
If you need to cancel an appointment because
of a schedule change, please call us immediately so we can reschedule
you. If you cancel within 48 hours before your scheduled time, we reserve
the right to charge you a cancellation fee.
With nervous patients, we know many people try to put off a dentist’s
appointment rather than go. You may not realize it, but you may be compounding
existing problems by waiting; putting off a visit may eventually mean
spending even more time and money in the dentist’s chair. If you
feel nervous, please call our practice to speak with Dr. Livshin at 781-688-0248,
so we can discuss your concerns.
If you have an emergency, please call our office
number at 781-688-0248 and follow the instructions to contact our on-call
doctor.

We take several precautions to ensure
your safety as our patient. First, we keep up-to-date on the latest sterilization
procedures and research. Our office complies and exceeds OSHA standards
for safety. Our instruments are thoroughly sterilized in accordance with
ADA accepted guidelines. Most importantly, we have a sterilization center
where we can maximize efficient sterilization and minimize the chance
of contamination through human error. If you have any questions, we would
be happy to demonstrate our sterilization procedures.
Many things make us different. At Landmark Dental, we’ve structured
our entire practice, from our relaxing facility to our friendly, gentle
team to our services, around fearful patients. We offer sedation dentistry
so you can remain calm while Dr. Livshin and our team treat you with
our advanced restorative dental services. Often, we can combine several
appointments into one or two with sedation. Best of all, you won’t
feel or remember a thing.
The best way to experience what makes us different is to call Landmark
Dental at 781-688-0248 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Livshin.
The whining sound of a drill can make the most comfortable person squirm. Depending on the
procedure, we can use electric instruments, which are quieter and more
comfortable. If you are still concerned, we can prescribe sedation dentistry
to help you relax. Dr. Livshin is always happy to talk about or demonstrate
how these tools or sedation work. Ask during your visit or call our practice
at 781-688-0248 for more information.
Yes! You should be very concerned
about bleeding gums, especially if you haven’t had a check-up in
a while. While it may seem harmless, bleeding gums may indicate a variety
of serious health problems, including gum disease. If your gums are bleeding,
call us as soon as possible to schedule an appointment so we can analyze
the cause.
Absolutely. Our entire practice is built
around helping people who don’t
like visiting the dentist get the treatment they need in a comfortable,
relaxing atmosphere. We offer a variety of amenities, including sedation
dentistry, to help you. With sedation, you will feel very sleepy, comfortable,
and pain-free while we provide you with the treatment you need.
Sedation is effective and extremely safe. Everyone on our team has been
specially trained to use sedation and we can closely monitor your progress
during your dental treatment. We offer several types of sedation, but
we need to talk to you first before we can recommend a specific sedation
method. If you have questions about sedation, call us at 781-688-0248
for more information.
Brushing cleans about 80% of your teeth while flossing covers
the remaining 20%. Although that seems like a small percentage, this
area is where all of the big problems originate. That’s why Dr.
Livshin believes that cleaning this area by flossing is very important.
When you come in for your appointment, we can discuss the benefits of
flossing and ways to improve your flossing techniques.
There are a variety of treatments we offer to improve
the appearance of your teeth without braces. Since each mouth is unique,
we need to examine your teeth to determine the best method to improve
your smile. Call Landmark Dental at 781-688-0248 so we can schedule an
appointment for you with Dr. Livshin. After listening to your goals and
concerns, he can suggest ways to help you straighten your smile.
